Business information: We are located in the downtown core of Tofino, BC. Our menu features all day breakfast, sandwiches & salads, pizza and our signature donuts. We offer dine-in and takeout services.

Job Description:
Determine the size of food portions and costs
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with standards and in a timely manner
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare and cook special meals for clients as instructed by chef
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Order supplies and equipment
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Clean kitchen and work areas at the end of shift
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Prepare varied dishes from scratch with fresh products
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Manual dexterity.
Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Efficient interpersonal skills, Accurate.
Language: English is required
Salary: $20.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.
Benefits: Gratuities. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Accommodation provided at a cost.
Important Information: We are open 7 days a week. Regular schedule includes working 5 days per week. The work day begins at 7 am and ends at 3 pm. Position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
