Work Location: Same as above and various worksites across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area.

Job Description:
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Identify areas of weakness and fixing problems in damaged structures
Ensure finished structures are safe and can weather some damage
Assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, load, unload and check deliveries and undertaking tasks to assisting carpenter generally
Maintain accurate worksheets and records/documentation
Perform work as directed by the supervisor
Work with materials and hardware power tools
Transport materials to different worksites
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 2 year of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate is required.
Work under different weather conditions.
Driver’s license type 5 is required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods.
Personal Suitability: Accurate, Efficient interpersonal skills, Judgement, Reliability, Team player, Initiative, Organized.
Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Outdoors.
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Language: English is required.
Salary: $30.00 per hour, 42.5 hours per week.

Important information: The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, flexibility on schedule is required. Work on weekends and overtime may be required depending on the business’ needs.
