Digital Press Operator [NOC 73401]

Our company is looking for an experience Digital Press Operator to run the operations of the printing press. This position is full time (30 hours per week). The ideal applicant must be willing to relocate to Edgewood, BC. Clean Criminal record check required.  

Responsibilities and duties:

• Review job orders to determine specifications such as production time, color sequences, and quantities required, and communicate these details to the press crew.

• Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate ribbon printing.

• Fill ink fountains, measure and adjust settings to control color and viscosity for optimal printing results. Professional development towards new technologies in the thermal and digital printing field.

• Set up the press and check samples to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment, and registration of ribbons.

• Monitor ongoing press runs for quality and consistency, using computer controls, and make adjustments as needed.

• Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of each press run to maintain equipment and prepare for the next job.

• Oversee the activities of the press crew, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

• Proficient in spoken and written English

• Strong leadership and team coordination

• Completion of secondary school required.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a printing press operator

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sublimation thermal transfer printing

• Must have clean criminal record.
