Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to oversee the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Lead Technician will supervise a team, ensure compliance with fire codes and safety regulations, and provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Perform diagnostic & repair service of various brands of fire alarm systems
• Field level management of Parts & Smarts fire alarm installations and oversee all programming Commissioning of fire alarm installations
• Oversee tenant fit outs
• Provide leadership and mentoring of other fire alarm team members
• Be able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Be a resource for guidance, training, and general oversight of Fire Alarm Test & Inspect team Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry installing field
5+ devices and cabling
License: MA D License B, A
EST-3
Strong verbal and communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal team and external customers
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis
Must be detail-oriented and organized
Possess a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record
Must be able to life and move equipment and tools weighting up to 40lbs
