Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic, electrical and mechanical components at a 67-MGD Wastewater Treatment plant. Troubleshoots the repairs and programming of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC's), Supervisory Control Data Acquisitions (SCADA) systems and associated equipment used in automated process control. Installs, calibrates, troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation such as flow level and analytical transmitters; provides assistance to the instrumentation supervisor in coordinating the daily work activities and technical assessment of equipment and component failure. Also performs other related duties as required; utilize personal computers for online time and attendance, creating and processing work orders and requisitioning parts and materials.
Note: Subject to 24-hour call back and must therefore be able to work emergency overtime.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or a GED issued by a state department of education; completion of a vocation course in electronics, and five years of work experience related to the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation or electronic/electrical equipment found in water or wastewater utilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
A valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a pre-employment physical examination, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three years experience industrial instrumentation technician or various levels of certification issued by Instrument Society Association (ISA) or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift 50 pounds. Climb ladders, work in confined spaces. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
