Installs, Services and Inspects Life Safety and Loss Prevention equipment such as Fire Alarm and Security systems for conformance to project specifications and/or State and Local codes by performing the below duties. Our ideal candidate is a motivated individual with electrical experience who can work independently and/or in groups as needed and is always willing to continue learning new skills. This is a full-time position with compensation based on experience. NICET certification is a plus. 1. Read and interpret construction drawings such as floor plans, riser diagrams, schematics, etc.
Install and/or replace Fire Alarm and other loss prevention type devices, framework, wiringand/or cables.
Testing, examination, cleaning and adjustments of detection and notification devices as well as the control equipment to ensure proper supervision and operation.
Troubleshooting and investigative work to determine the cause of system issues.
Verifies specified operating parameters of all equipment.
Updates all project documentation such as: drawings, manuals, instructions, directions, and required equipment for the proper completion of the job.
Basic working knowledge of electricity and electronics and 3-6 months of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
