Job Duties:

Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

Bake mixed doughs and batters

Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods

Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards

Operate machinery

Organize and maintain inventory

Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of commercial baking experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 1 year of experience, a completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers OR completion of a college or other program for bakers is required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours, Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination, Handling heavy loads, Manual dexterity, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure.

Salary: $17.00 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Benefits: Meals provided at a discounted rate during work hours, Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate.

Important Information: The worker will work 5 days a week that will be scheduled within the business operating days from Tuesday to Sunday, from 1:00 am to 9:00 am, or from 3:00 am to 11:00 am, depending on the business’ needs. Flexibility on schedule is required. Mondays are off. Work on weekends is required.
