Job Description:

Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables

Carrying and replace linen

Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs

Load buspans and trays

Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware

Place dishes in storage area

Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas

Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

Scour pots and pans

Package take-out food

Portion and wrap foods

Prepare, heat and finish simple food items

Stock refrigerators and salad bars

Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs

Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment

Handle and store cleaning products

Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

Remove kitchen garbage and trash

Sharpen kitchen knives

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors and washrooms

Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Requirements

Education: Some secondary school is required.

Experience: Not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Salary: $16.55 hourly, 40 - 44 hours per week

Important information: The position requires working on shifts of 6 to 8 hours per day, including one unpaid 30-minute lunch break and two paid 15-minute coffee breaks. The shifts will be scheduled within the business operating hours from 8:00 am to 1:00 am, from Monday to Sunday. Weekend work and flexibility in schedule are required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs. Overtime may also be required. The employee will be entitled to 1 day off per week on a rotational basis.
