Precast Concrete Moulder (Labourer)

Job Duties:

• Construct moulds for use in casting concrete products
• Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced
• Set up, adjust and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications
• Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products
• Check products for quality control
• Move products using forklift or crane
• Perform ongoing machine adjustments
• Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in moulds
• Fill moulds with concrete
• Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
• Operate vibrating tables to settle concrete
• Tamp concrete using electric vibrator
• Remove castings from moulds
• Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel
• Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers

Requirements

Education: Not required.

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Overtime required.

Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50lbs).

Personal suitability: Accurate, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player.

Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy.

Language: English is required.

Salary: $21.75 hourly, 30-50 hours per week.

Benefits: Dental Plan, Health care plan, Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate, Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.

Important Information: Work schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (It includes a 30-minute paid lunch). Flexibility in schedule is required as some days may start earlier and other finish later based on the business needs. Overtime is required. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week during winter.
