Lead Boilermaker

This position is located in Southern California. It is full-time and not seasonal or temporary. We are looking to fill a this long-term. We do not work outside of Southern California! Pay range is based on experience. We will increase within the first 30 days if you have the experience and background.

• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems. Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.
• Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Using mathematics to solve problems.
• Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
• Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
• Managing one's own time, working efficiently within allotted schedule, anticipating and ordering correct material needed to perform certain work.
• Completing daily work-orders with description of job report, repair recommendations (if any), materials used, equipment worked on, and turned in daily with signature from client (if available).
• End-of-day reporting to supervisor: brief supervisor on what was accomplished and issues, if any.
• Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

• MUST have 5+ years of experience as a boilermaker
• MUST be able to pass a weld certification test 
• MUST have 5+ years of experience and knowledge of welding, pipefitting, assembly, install, and repair on boilers, closed vats, and other large vessels or containers that hold liquids and gases.
• MUST have clean driving record and CA drivers license
