Description
Responsible for performing plumbing inspection work and enforcing compliance for new construction, remodeling, alterations, repairs, moving, or demolition of structures to ensure compliance with the City adopted building codes, zoning ordinances, and other related City ordinances.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
Four (4) years of experience as a Journey Level Plumber or Plumbing Inspector
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
Valid Journeyman Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
Must obtain Plumbing Inspector license issued by Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners within six (6) months of employment.
Must obtain International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Plumbing Inspector within eighteen (18) months of employment
