Journeyman Electrician/Foreman

We are seeking a skilled/licensed Journeyman Electrician/Foreman to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for leading both residential and commercial projects. Qualities of our ideal candidate will be: self driven, hard working, knowledgeable of the local and national electrical codes, excellent communication skills, ability to lead and teach apprentices. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on Experience.

Most of our work is locally around the Western UP of MI and Northern Wisconsin, up to 1.5 hours from Bessemer, MI. We do travel out of town for commercial projects, we do a few projects/year in middle to lower WI and Twin Cities area of MN. Out of town projects will allow for increased pay rates and potential bonuses.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for residential and commercial projects

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems

- Install and troubleshoot electrical components such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures

- Test electrical systems using various tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving electrical issues promptly

Skills:

- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications

- Proficiency in using power tools and electrical testing equipment

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

- Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations

- Experience in renovating existing electrical systems or building new ones

- Familiarity with logic controllers and industrial electrician work

- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently

- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in MI and/or WI

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrician

- Ability to lead/supervise/teach Apprentices. Ability to run/coordinate a project from start to finish

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship
