Location: BC and Alberta (Camp Work)

Blue Collar Modular Housing Ltd. is looking for an experienced Modular Construction Foreman/Woman to work on upcoming modular construction projects throughout Western Canada. Blue Collar installs and demobilizes temporary and permanent structures, including multi-unit housing, remote camps, offices, field units and modular schools.
Applicant must be a team player with a strong work ethic and have an exemplary safety record. Must have good communication skills and work well with both clients and co-workers.
This is a full-time position with relocation to multiple locations as required; a live-out allowance and accommodation are provided. A criminal record check is mandatory for applicants.
Job Details:
• Install modular components as required including:
o Exterior crane setting, Roofing, Framing, Siding
o Foundations
o Stairwells, Walkways
o Interior finishing, Flooring, Walls, Interconnects
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule crew.
• Capability of reading architectural and structural plans.
o Confirming team members are following the plans.
• Establish efficient work methods and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Requisition materials and supplies needed for projects.
• Resolve work-related issues and suggest productivity improvements.
• Provide or arrange training for workers.
• Recommend personnel actions like hiring and training.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare schedules and reports.
• Complete all safety paperwork as required.
• Supervise apprentices, helpers, and laborers as necessary.
• Corecon Management (*online construction management software):
o Input hours to the correct job cost codes along with tracking 1.0x, 1.5x, 2.0x hourly rates for team members.
o Input misc. expenses.
Company credit card purchases
Live out allowances
Reimbursements to team for vehicle expenses or other approved purchases
Commercial account purchases are put into Corecon by others.
o Input equipment timecards for vehicles & equipment on site
o Review of Budget for larger projects on a weekly basis with BCMH
• Manage subcontractors as needed including inspections, quality of work, scheduling, auditing
• Superior leadership skills
• 5-7 years of experience as a qualified carpenter
• 2 years of supervisory or management experience
• Be willing to travel often
• Pass regular standard drug and alcohol testing
• Pass an industry related physical fitness test
• Be able to legally work in Canada
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Have the following certifications:
o CSTS- Construction Safety Training System
o First Aid Level One
o H2S Alive
o Fall Protection
o Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Assets:
• Journeyman/woman trade certification as a carpenter
• Priority will be given to those with equipment operator tickets such as telehandler, Aerial Work Platform and Skid steer.
