Heavy Equipment Mechanic

J & H Services, Inc. is seeking EXPERIENCED HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD AND SHOP MECHANICS.

Equipment shop is located in Dexter, NM.

Field mechanic applicants must be able to travel to all jobs located in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas.

Company truck will be provided.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Diagnose, adjust and/or repair mechanical, hydraulic, electric and pneumatic equipment in the field or in the shop
• Test and ensure proper performance of said equipment
• Read and understand operating manuals and drawings
• Maintain repair records, such as time, materials
• Schedule maintenance for equipment

• Have 3 to 5 yrs experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. This includes maintenance and repair of heavy and highway construction equipment (excavators, scrapers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, pavers, milling machines, etc.)
• Have and maintain an acceptable driving record
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Be able to work independently, but also have ability to work on a team
• Be willing to travel. Travel expenses are paid, excluding meals.
