Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Order supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

- Education: Completion of high school is required

- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, attention to detail, and passion for the industry in a high-volume, full-service restaurant. Overtime required.

Personal suitability: Team player, initiative, client focus, dependability, reliability, must be responsible and enthusiastic

Language: English is required

Salary: $16.00 hourly, 35 - 40 hours per week.

Benefits: Extended medical insurance, dental insurance, 50% off meals when working and 20% off when not working. Transportation covered if the worker needs to relocate.

Important Information: Position requires flexibility in scheduling shifts, evening or weekend hours as needed. **Shifts may vary with some days starting at early morning and others finishing at late-night** Overtime may be required.
