Plans and coordinates the activities of the plumbing work force in the repair, inspection, maintenance, and installation of commercial and residential plumbing and gas systems, and related components. Provides guidance and assistance to plumbing personnel in diagnosing problems, determining the extent of repairs required, materials needed, and methods necessary to complete repairs. Prepares manpower, materials, and equipment estimates to perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Reviews incoming maintenance requests and completed work orders. Performs related duties as required. Position may be subject to overtime, on-call and weekend rotation. Incumbent is considered emergency service personnel.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, driver's license check, pre-employment medical evaluation to the satisfaction of the employer.
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using tools of the trade and experience estimating time and materials needed to complete a job. Prior knowledge and experience working with Sloan valves, three phase and single phase electric pump motors and pump motor control centers, and water heaters (gas, electric and oil). Certified cross-connection prevention device tester.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to climb step ladders up to 16ft in height, must be able to climb extension ladder and scaffolds up to 50ft, must be able to lift up and carry 75lbs with assistance of dolly, lift or staff. Must be able to stoop, bend and work in tiring/uncomfortable conditions for extended periods of time. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
