- Summary/Objective -
- Unload, inspect, and store material (in proper location(s)) delivered to company for fabrication.
- Examine completed work piece(s) for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Measure completed work piece(s) to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
- Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.

- Position Type/Expected Work Hours -
- This is a full-time position.
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Overtime may be necessary based upon the needs of the business.

- Required Education and Experience -
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Preferred Education and Experience
- Completion of an apprenticeship or several years of vocational training
