Job Duties:

• Body care/treatments
• Provide general information to customers on beauty products
• Advise on beauty products suited to customers' colouring and skin type
• Exfoliation treatments
• Apply make-up on customers
• Clean, trim and polish nails
• Eyebrow tinting
• Nail art technics
• Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions
• Apply make-up on models
• Ear piercing
• Facials
• Foot massage
• Repairs and cover-ups
• Eyelash extensions
• Waxing

Requirements

Education: Completion of high school, college or beauty school programs for cosmeticians, estheticians, manicurists and pedicurists is required.

- Lash extension certificate is a strong asset.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field is required

Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Hand-eye co-ordination, Repetitive Tasks

Work Setting: Esthetician’s salon

Salary: $17 hourly, 37.5 hours per week.

Important Information: Work schedule is from Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (It includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-min paid breaks). However, flexibility on schedule is required depending on the business’ needs, and so, occasional overtime work on Wednesdays may be needed. Weekend work is required. Overtime may be required.
