Job Description:

• Load, unload and transport construction materials to work locations
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Assist heavy equipment operators
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Assist in demolishing buildings
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Concrete removal operations utilizing pneumatic hammers ranging from 8kg to 20kg in weight
• Drilling dowels into concrete utilizing pneumatic and electric drills

Requirements:

• -Education: No formal education is required
• -Experience: Experience as a general construction labourer is an asset. Training will be provided
• -Valid driver’s license is an asset
• -Work under different weather conditions
• -Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Overtime required, Tight deadlines
• -Work site environment: Outdoors, At heights, Dangerous, Hot/Cold, Dusty
• -Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
• -Language: Basic level of English is required.

Salary: $20.00 hourly, 30 - 63 Hours per week.

Important information: 6 days of work per week. Monday to Saturday. Sunday is off. There is a morning shift that goes from 7 am to 5:30 pm and a night shift that goes from 7 pm to 6 am. The workers will be allocated to one of the two shifts based on the business needs. Overtime is required **A minimum of 30 hours of work per week is guaranteed during winter time**

Benefits: Transportation costs covered if workers need to relocate. Transportation among work locations provided by the employer.
