Reporting directly to Josh, you will be a primary asset to the company. You will play a crucial role in
assessing, managing, producing, and completing various tasks, projects, components, and repairs. This
role requires high entrepreneurial skills and a self-motivated work flow. We expect various idea
generation and project completion either directly overseen by Josh or self-directed in order to help serve
customer and market requirements.
Analyzing:
o Understanding of client demand and market deficiencies with respect to metal-based
machines. Suggesting product line development to address inefficiencies of perceived
workflow in the agriculture and construction industries.
Planning:
o Design various products using software such as Auto-Cad, SoldWorks, and other various
2D and 3D modeling applications.
o Work with consultants to ensure products meet or exceed ISO and CSA standards.
o Manage clients and project scheduling to best achieve the goals of the company.
o Order and receive materials for scheduled projects.
o Create, edit, and upkeep cut-lists for various products.
o Design, create, and manage Jigs for product lines.
Operating:
o Operate various fixed machinery such as presses, shears, rollers, breaks, bandsaws,
plasma tables, welders (SMAW/MMA).
o Operate construction-related machinery such as skid steers, forklifts, heavy trucks, or
excavators.
o Operate metal-working and wood working hand tools such as saws, plasma cutters,
torches (oxy, map, propane), grinders, skill saws, sledges, mallets, etc.
o Mobile repair and maintenance of customer internal machines as required.
o Assist companies’ shoreline construction divisions as required for shoreline stabilization
work.
Required education:
o A diploma from a Mechanical Technician program is preferred.
o Completion of a Millwright Mechanical course is preferred.
Required work experience:
o Minimum of 2 years work experience as a metal fabricator.
o Minimum of 6 months of work experience using 2D/3D design software.
o Strong entrepreneurial skills to be able to manage various projects.
o Strong client/customer relationship skills.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Able to design, plan, and fabricate products for the agriculture and construction
industries.
o Able to work with hand tools, static machinery, and heavy machinery as required.
o Able to accommodate flexible scheduling to meet production or client deadlines.
o Experience working with various materials, for example, wood, steel, plastics.
o Strong problem-solving skills in order to achieve goals.
o Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Self-directed workflow management.
o Construction-related experience is an asset.
