Job Description:
Manage grooming activities and staff.
Monitoring daily cleaning the interior of the aircraft for JET and ATR, including passenger cabins, cockpit, galley, lavatories, and crew rest areas. This involves vacuuming, dusting, wiping down and sanitizing surfaces, cleaning windows, replenishing toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other supplies to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
Manage commissary activities and staff
Adhering to aviation authority and airline standards for hygiene and safety.
Monitoring daily airline schedule and real-time flight tracking systems and adjust quickly to flight delays, diversion and/or schedule changes, sometimes cleaning multiple aircraft back-to-back.
Participate in the company’s Occupational Health and Safety program (aviation – Federal regulations) and investigate incidents
Support the General Manager when needed
Provide excellent customer service to clients
Develop, deliver, and document training programs for grooming, commissary, and facility staff
Maintain training records in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
Hire, train and supervise staff
Conduct quality control inspections of completed grooming and commissary work prior to aircraft release
Maintain grooming supplies inventory and monitor the ordering process
Ensure cleaning standards meet or exceed client expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards
Coordinate with the maintenance team to report and follow up on facility deficiencies identified during cleaning operations
Remain available outside of regular business hours to respond to operational emergencies, staffing shortfalls, and client escalations
Provide support to aircraft ground handling, fueling coordination, cargo logistics, overnight parking, and passenger and crew services if needed.
Manage urgent issues related to flight disruptions, delays, irregular operations (IROPs), and after-hours aircraft arrivals
Direct and control daily operations
Evaluate daily operations
Plan and organize daily operations
Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
Plan and control budget and inventory
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education is required.
- Experience: At least 3 years of cleaning services experience is required
Previous supervisory experience is required
- Clearance requirement: Must have a Valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP) from a Canadian airport or be able obtain clearance within the first month employment.
- Driver’s licence class 5 is required.
- Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Ability to work in extreme arctic conditions (extreme cold and wind). Lots of bending in small aircraft to complete grooming activities. Ability to carry a vacuum, aircraft trolleys and carts, grooming supply.

Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The business operates 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. The regular schedule is for 6 days per week with an average of 10 hours per days. The position will mostly work later afternoon and evenings. Overtime, work on the weekend and on statutory holidays is required. On call work required.
