Job Description

Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems: Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of components on truck and trailer refrigeration units.

Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system: Maintaining transport refrigeration unit on trucks and trailers by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and on-board computers, completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment.

Maintain and repair equipment in refrigerated trucks: Maintains transport truck and trailer refrigeration units and track APU’s by reviewing shop orders, listening to operator complaints.

Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems: Repairing failures; removing, replacing, testing Freon leaks, assembling, and installing parts and components involving soldering, welding and the use of refrigeration equipment.

Install refrigeration systems: Installing various units on trailers, trucks, and Vans

Requirements

- Education: Completion of high school is required

- Experience: At least 5 years of experience on Thermo King Units in the field is required.

- Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate is required. If the candidate does not have an ODP card, he/she must be eligible to obtain one.

- Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads up to 75 lbs; Manual dexterity; Attention to detail; Bending, crouching, kneeling.

- Work Site Environment: Dusty, noisy, Cold, hot, at heights

- Personal suitability: Dependability, reliability, judgement, team player, accurate, organized.

- Language: English is required

Salary: $37.00 per hour, 40-44 hours per week.
