We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and resourceful person to fulfill the role of Plumbing and Heating Estimator.

Work Location: Same as above and various clients’ locations across Edmundston.

Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Description:
Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Prepare master format estimates (Class A)
Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
Project cash flow and financing requirements
Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
Utilize quantity take-off procedures
Advise on tendering procedures
Analyze tenders and recommend awards
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Read and understand plans, specifications and addendums.
Do take off as per plans, specifications, and addendums.
Prepare final bid, as required and send project tenders to clients.
Analyzing customer needs and keep in contact with all parties (ex. Suppliers, sub-contractors, owners, consultant, etc.)
May drive to project sites
Requirements
- Education: College degree or equivalent Degree in mechanical field or building engineering / civil engineering OR a plumber certification/experience.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the field is required.
- Must have good knowledge of the construction industry, building mechanics, and computers.
- Must understand national plumbing code and other safety codes.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, Excellent written and oral communication, Flexibility, Organized, Team player, Proactive.
- Language: English is required
- Basic French is an asset
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
- Work site environment: Noisy
Salary: $36.56 hourly, 40 hours per week.
