Under general supervision, is responsible for performing building inspection and enforcement work in securing and maintain compliance with rules and regulations. Exercises functional supervision over assigned staff.

Work Hours
6:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Sunday - Wednesday
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
Six (6) years of experience in building construction and/or municipal building inspection.
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
Must obtain International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Building Inspector within one (1) year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four years of residential and commercial building construction experience.
Must attempt to obtain at least one certification within six months of employment.
