Deck, Railing, Flooring Installer

Job Type: Full time 40 hours/week

Wage: $30.00/ hour

Schedule: Regular – Monday to Friday – 8am-4pm 

Kelowna Renovation 911 is looking for an experienced deck, railing and flooring installer to work on upcoming residential, commercial and multi-family installation projects throughout Okanagan.

Applicant must be a team player with a strong work ethic and have an exemplary safety record. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and work well with both clients and co-workers. Must have own vehicle and a valid drivers license.

This full-time position involves driving to on-site locations for renovation projects. Applicants must undergo a mandatory criminal record check.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures

• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations

• Install, repair and service interior prefabricated products such as doors, windows, kitchen cupboards, bathroom vanities, water heaters and household appliances using hand and power tools

• Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated products such as siding, shutters, awnings, fencing, decks, septic and irrigation systems, signs and play structures using hand and power tools.

• Cleaning up job sites

• Loading materials

• Assisting other lead installers with duties

Requirements:

• Experience using power tools

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the construction industry.

• Be willing to travel to project location.

• Be able to legally work in Canada

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

• Must have own vehicle

• Language requirement: English

• Education requirement: Minimum high school completion/ diploma required

Assets:

• Experience in deck, railing, flooring, window and door installation.

• Training or Certificate in related trade
