Description
Responsible for performing inspectional work and enforcing compliance for new construction, remodeling, alterations, repairs, moving, or demolition of structures to ensure compliance with the City adopted building codes, zoning ordinances, and other related City ordinances.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
Four (4) years of public works projects experience.
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience surveying.
Experience with street and drainage construction.
Experience and/or ability to read construction plans.
Experience working with a calculator and computer; experience interpreting various measurements and calculations.
