Job Description:

Prepare and submit reports

Recommend measures to improve productivity

Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Establish work schedules

Train or arrange for training

Oversee safety of operations

Recommend personnel actions

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers

Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Set up machines and equipment

Conduct inventory

Implement procedures based on the department’s needs

Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a furniture and fixture assembler, woodworking machine operator, cabinetmaker or furniture finisher is required.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines.

Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral and written communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Accurate, Dependability.

Ability to supervise: 5 people.

Language: English is required.

Salary: $28.85 per hour, 42.5 hours per week.

Benefits: We provide transportation to worksites via company vehicle and paid gas.

Important information: Regular work schedule will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required as hours could be extended, occasional overtime may be required.
