Assembly Tech

Fits and assembles parts to assembly drawing specifications.

Performs basic electrical wiring using wiring diagrams, schematics, and wire lists. Install and wire electrical cabinets into new machine builds. Connect machine to in-coming power. Conduct functional tests to verify proper machine/ panel operation.

Run and test equipment for proper function.

Perform final assembly inspection to ensure production specifications and standards are met.

Assist in Machine Shop and facilities maintenance or troubleshooting as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Applicant must be capable of reading, interpreting & following schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.

Must have mechanical aptitude.

Must be capable of safely using a variety of hand or power tools including a Digital Multi-meter and soldering iron.

Must be detail-oriented, organized, be a self-starter, work independently and as part of a team. Accurately follow oral instructions and written policies and procedures in a time sensitive situations.

Problem-solving skills and mathematical skills required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

GED or High School graduate required; technical certification preferred.

Must have two years hands-on experience.
