PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CONTRACTOR
Request for Proposals and Referrals
Soul Fire Farm is seeking an experienced property maintenance company or sole proprietor to assume the following scope, in whole or in part. Total scope is estimated at 1000-1500 people-hours per year based on how much time it has taken us to complete this work in-house to date.

SCOPE (IN WHOLE OR IN PART)
MAINTENANCE
HVAC maintenance (changing/cleaning filters)

Chimney cleaning (annually)
Clearing drainage troughs (monthly)
Winterizing and resetting non-insulated water systems (annually)
REPAIRS
Inspection of property and buildings for damage
Appliance repair coordination
Buildings and systems repair coordination
Emergency repair coordination (downed trees, leaks)
CLEANING
window washing (annually)
Interior and porch cleaning of 5 buildings (weekly)
LANDSCAPING
Planting and caring for landscaping plants - pruning, mulching
Mowing grass
Trimming edges

Soul Fire Farm is an Afro-Indigenous centered community farm committed to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system. Our food sovereignty programs reach over 60,000 people each year, including farmer training for Black and Brown growers, reparations and land return initiatives for northeast farmers, food justice workshops for urban youth, home gardens for city-dwellers living under food apartheid, doorstep harvest delivery for food insecure households, and systems and policy education for public decision-makers.
