Job Description:
Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques
Keep logs and maintain records
Schedule activities
Supervise staff
Train staff
Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes
Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts
Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events
Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
Maintain and repair sports equipment
Prepare reports
Understand principles of group dynamics
Leading/instructing groups
Leading/instructing individuals
Provide lifestyle awareness information
Conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities
Assist clients/guests with special needs
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Assemble supplies, sports and game equipment
Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required

Qualifications
Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary education is required
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience is required. If the worker does not have 1 year of experience, then completion of a college program in recreation or physical education is required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods.
Personal Suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent written and oral communication, Flexibility, Initiative, Interpersonal awareness, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player.
Language: English is required
Weight handling: 40 lbs
Ability to supervise at least 100 people.
Work site environment: Noisy, Heights.

Salary: 36.60 Hourly, 36 hours per week.
