Business Information: The Maq hotel is a historic hotel located on Main Street in downtown Tofino BC. On-site amenities include a beer and wine store, a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a coffee shop/café.

Job Description:

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Dust furniture

Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

Make beds and change sheets

Distribute clean towels and toiletries

Stock linen closet

Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

Handle and report lost and found items

Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items

Provide basic information on facilities

Pick up debris and empty trash containers

Launder clothing and household linens

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Wash windows, walls and ceilings

Address customers' complaints or concerns

Requirements

Education: Secondary school.

Experience: Experience in a mid-range hotel is an asset.

Work setting: Hotel, remote location.

Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 hourly. 40 hours per week.

Important Information:

Flexibility in the schedule is required. Including working early mornings, evenings, holidays, nights and weekends depending on business needs. The candidate will work mainly from Wednesday to Sunday. Day shift: 9 am to 5 pm. Evening shift: 4 pm to 11 pm. Overtime and on call may be required.
