Job Description:

Responsible for cleanliness of Duffin Cove hotel rooms, cabins and common areas

Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors

Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries

Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies

Stock linen closets and other supplies’ areas

Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

Clean and disinfect public areas

Pick up debris and empty trash containers

Wash windows, walls and ceilings

Report and store lost and found items

Providing basic information on facilities to guests

Handling guest complaints

Complete laundry, operate laundry machines and fold towels and linens

Requirements

Education: Secondary school.

Experience: At least 7 months of experience in a mid-range hotel is required.

Work setting: Hotel, remote location.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods.

Personal Suitability: Dependability, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Values and ethics, Patience, Honesty.

Weight handling: Maximum 30 lbs.

Language: English is required

Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 hourly. 35 to 40 hours per week.

Important Information:

Flexibility in the schedule is required. The work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with two days off on a rotational basis. Weekend and holiday work will be required, and overtime and on-call duties may be necessary depending on business needs.
