Job Description:

Make custom designs for clients

Provide general information to customers on beauty products

Advise on beauty products suited to customers’ colouring and skin type

Apply or remove artificial nails and nail art

Clean, trim and polish nails

Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions

Maintain and build own clientele

Perform cashiering duties

Schedule and confirm appointments

Manicures

Pedicures

Provide customer service

May assist in body care treatments

Provide complex/difficult/special designs in nails

Assist other technicians if needed

Be responsible to all samples colour, update to new trend nail design

Exfoliation treatments for pedicures

Foot massage

Nail art techniques

Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school.

Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a nail care technician is required. In case the candidate does not have at least 1 year of experience as a nail care technician, then completion of college or beauty school programs for cosmeticians, estheticians, electrologists, and/or manicurists and pedicurists is required.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Hand-eye co-ordination.

Language: English is required.

Salary: $36.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week.

Important information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Work on Saturdays and holidays may be required depending on the business’ needs.
