Who we want?

We are looking for a Registered Fire Protection Technician (AL, EM, EX) or CFAA Certified Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be tasked with providing top tier service during the inspection, testing and maintenance of all life safety systems including Fire Extinguishers, Sprinkler Systems, Emergency Lights and Fire Alarm systems that our clients have come to expect from IFP. You will have the support of a tight knit and experienced team dedicated to providing opportunities for growth. We are looking for like-minded individuals with a thirst for knowledge.

Job Description

• Acting as an ambassador of the IFP brand in all interactions with IFP employees, customers, and business partners.
• Perform inspections, testing and ongoing maintenance for Sprinkler systems, Fire Alarm systems, Fire Extinguishers and Emergency Lights on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and multi-year basis to all applicable codes and standards.
• Timely and professional completion of inspection reports and identification of deficiencies prior to leaving job site.
• Timely and professional completion of Time and Material documentation prior to leaving job site.
• Timely and professional completion of safety documentation prior to leaving job site.
• Communicate with clients and IFP staff regarding project status, system status and timely identification of any relevant information.
• Ability to work in a team environment to complete inspections in a timely manner while ensuring code compliance.
• Able to perform upgrades, repairs, additions, or improvements to systems following inspection as required.
• Be responsible for responding to service calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
• Maintain safe working environment and adhere to company safety policy as directed.
• Mentorship and Training of Junior RFPTs
• Be willing to continue your development personally, professional, and technically.
• Work 8 hours per day (40 hours per week/Paid hourly). Overtime may be required.

• RFPT with AL, EM, EX designations, WA is an asset.
• Valid BC drivers license.
• Cross connection control certification is an asset, however not required.
• CFFA Certification is an asset, however not required.
• Red Seal Electrician qualification is an asset, however not required.
• Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter qualification is an asset, however not required.
