Control System Technician

Control System Technician Responsibilities :

• on-site installations
• on-site troubleshooting controller boxes
• internet configuration
• product support
• customer relations

The customers we support include large and small commercial facilities, hotels, hospitals, multi-family residential, schools and many others. Work is primarily in the NY City Metropolitan area and we are actively developing customers in other cities.

Control System Technician Qualifications :

• 2+ years electrical experience required
• experience working with low voltage
• the desire to learn and develop a deep knowledge of Building Automation Systems using advanced products of a major automation system manufacturer
• the desire for continued career development, product knowledge, varied industry experience
• good communication and customer relationship skills
• ability to use hand tools and power tools
• the ability to work on a team under the direction of senior engineers and managers
• a valid and clean driver's license to drive company vehicles
• OSHA 30 or 40 training a plus
• experience with boiler controls a plus

New job specific skills will be taught with on-the-job experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
