Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Interpret welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Assemble and weld parts and frames for heavy haul trailers from blueprints.
Education: Some secondary school is required.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR completion of a three-year apprenticeship program is required.
Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Manual dexterity, Standing for extended periods, Handling heavy loads, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Physically demanding.
Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50lbs).
Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Team Player, Accurate, Judgement.
Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Multipass.
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine.
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication .
Language: English is required.
Salary: $26.06 hourly, 39.50-44 hours per week.

Important Information: Work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm (It includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 10-minute paid coffee breaks). Overtime may be required based on the business needs.
