Job Description

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Clean kitchen and work areas

Follow recipes accurately as outlined by Chef

Practice proper food safety standards for hygiene, sanitation and quality control.

Qualifications

Requirements

-Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

-Experience: At least three years of experience as a Cook is required. If the candidate does not have the required experience, completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks

-Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, client focus, Initiative, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Positive attitude, dependability, flexibility, judgement, time management

-Language: English is required

Salary: $16.00 per hour, 35-44 Hours per week.

Important information:

This position will require working 8-hour shifts. Shifts are from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. 1-2 days off per week provided on a rotational basis. Flexibility on schedule is required. Work on weekdays, weekends and holidays is required.
